So the juice diet did not last (I made it til noon of day one). However, for the past couple of days I've been eating alright and controlling my portions. The only thing that's been annoying is that I'm literally flat broke, so I've been living off of what's in the fridge. And right now, that's not much!
Tonight I made spaghetti with Alfredo sauce and garlic bread. For dessert I made a healthy and super easy Apple Crisp:
5 Apples sliced
3 Packets of flavored Oatmeal
Maple syrup all over
2 Tsp of butter
Mixed the oatmeal and butter together for the crisp and sprinkled that and the maple syrup over the apples. The result was so good. It probably is a lot worse for me than I think it is, but at least it's not a tub of Haagen-Dazs!

Day 1
So today is the first day of the master cleanse. The salt water flush was disgusting and the lemonade isn't what I expected. I usually dilute it so it's 1/2 water 1/2 lemonade. No urges to eat sweets, but later in the day I think may be a challenge!

Putting it off
Ahh, well as usual my social life has gotten in the way of my master cleanse plans. The new start date is next Tuesday when I have my day off school. Until then I've being eating like a normal person.. no crazy portions!

Master Cleanse
This spring/summer it is my goal to get in shape and have that gorgeous body I've always wanted. My goal for the next four months is to drop 15 pounds. Currently I sit at about 135, after this summer of running, lifting, healthy cooking, and lifestyle I hope to be a trim 120 pounds. After yo-yo dieting, it's finally got through to me that that is NOT the way to permanently lose weight (as 135 is my unlucky number). By doing this Master Cleanse, I wish to clean out my body in preparation for healthy eating and more motivation than ever.
I bought all of the ingredients for the "lemonade" today. I'm really looking forward to starting this cleanse later this week. Especially since for the past couple of weeks I've been very lazy and eating too much for a person my size; it's making a nasty visual impact on my body. Tomorrow I'll be having a soy burger on a whole wheat bun with a salad for dinner before I start the cleanse on Wednesday.
Maybe it's first-post-excitement, but I think by keeping a journal I'll be more successful in my weight loss and moving towards a permanent healthy lifestyle.
